In 1961, the Kenworth Truck Company selected the Hissong franchise application and Richfield, Ohio became the location for the second Kenworth dealership east of the Mississippi River.  At the time Kenworth did not provide delivery of trucks to Ohio, making it necessary for Bob Hissong, Tom Hissong and Tom Whitney to travel to Seattle to pick up the dealerships first three Kenworth trucks.  Since those humble beginnings, the Hissong Group has grown to be the premier Kenworth dealer group serving the fleet and owner/operators in Northeast, Central and South-Central Ohio.  With six dealerships and two TRP parts locations, including Ashland, Canton, Cleveland, Columbus, Richfield and Zanesville, our franchised area covers almost half of Ohio.
